Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the AV Management Suite platform ("Service") provided by LAVT Supply. This policy is designed to protect our customers, the integrity of our Service, and the broader internet community.

By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account without notice.

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Illegal Activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Engage in or promote illegal activities
  • Facilitate money laundering, fraud, or other financial crimes
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
  • Violate privacy rights or misuse personal data

2.2 Harmful Content

You may not upload, store, or transmit:

  • Malware, viruses, worms, trojans, or other malicious code
  • Content that is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or hateful
  • Content that promotes violence, terrorism, or discrimination
  • Content that harasses, threatens, or abuses others
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)

2.3 Abuse and Misuse

You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other user accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its networks
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without permission
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service
  • Circumvent any security or authentication measures
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Overload or attempt to crash our systems
  • Launch denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks

2.4 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

You may not use the Service to:

  • Send spam, junk mail, or unsolicited bulk communications
  • Conduct phishing or social engineering attacks
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Create fake accounts or engage in fraudulent activity

2.5 Intellectual Property Violations

You may not:

  • Upload or share content that violates copyright, trademark, or patent rights
  • Use the Service to distribute pirated software, media, or other protected content
  • Remove or alter copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices

2.6 Resource Abuse

You may not:

  • Exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan without upgrading
  • Use excessive storage, bandwidth, or computational resources
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limitations
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized users

3. Acceptable Business Use

The Service is designed for legitimate business operations related to AV integration and project management. Acceptable uses include:

  • Managing projects, customers, and vendors
  • Tracking time, labor, and inventory
  • Creating bills of materials and purchase orders
  • Generating quotes and managing service tickets
  • Storing business documents and files
  • Collaborating with team members on projects

4. User Responsibilities

4.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
  • Using strong, unique passwords
  • Enabling multi-factor authentication when available
  • Promptly reporting any unauthorized access or security breaches
  • All activities that occur under your account

4.2 Data Accuracy and Legality

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the accuracy of data you enter into the Service
  • Legally obtaining and having the right to use all data you upload
  • Complying with data protection laws when handling personal information
  • Obtaining necessary consents for data collection and processing

4.3 User Management

If you are a tenant administrator, you are responsible for:

  • Managing user access and permissions within your organization
  • Removing access for terminated employees promptly
  • Training users on proper and acceptable use of the Service
  • Monitoring user activity to prevent abuse

5. Monitoring and Enforcement

5.1 Monitoring

We reserve the right to monitor use of the Service to ensure compliance with this AUP and our Terms of Service. This may include reviewing:

  • System logs and audit trails
  • Usage patterns and resource consumption
  • Reports of abuse from other users or third parties

We respect your privacy and will only access your content when necessary for security, compliance, legal requirements, or with your explicit consent.

5.2 Enforcement Actions

If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take the following actions:

  • Warning: First-time or minor violations may result in a warning
  • Temporary Suspension: Access may be temporarily suspended while we investigate
  • Content Removal: Violating content may be removed without notice
  • Feature Restriction: Specific features may be disabled
  • Account Suspension: Your account may be suspended temporarily or permanently
  • Account Termination: Serious or repeated violations will result in immediate termination
  • Legal Action: We may pursue legal remedies for illegal activities

5.3 Appeals

If your account has been suspended or terminated, you may appeal the decision by contacting support@lavtsupply.com with:

  • Your account information
  • Explanation of the circumstances
  • Steps you have taken to address the violation

We will review appeals within 5 business days. Our decision on appeals is final.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them immediately to:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We may contact you for additional information.

7. Compliance with Laws

In addition to this AUP, you must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • Data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Export control and sanctions laws
  • Anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM Act, CASL, etc.)
  • Intellectual property laws
  • Computer fraud and abuse laws (CFAA, etc.)

8. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We cooperate with law enforcement agencies and may disclose information about your use of the Service when:

  • Required by law, court order, or subpoena
  • Necessary to investigate suspected illegal activity
  • Needed to protect our rights, property, or safety
  • Required to protect the rights or safety of others

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
